Why Big Bang and Super Junior can break the jinx of disbanding?

It is common that the idol groups break up 5 years after their debut, for instance, H.O.T., DBSK, SS501,etc. All of these groups were disbanded after they had debuted for 5 years and they had to start their solo activities. However, the situation is different now.

The represtatives who can break this jinx are Big Bang and Super junior (who have just released their 5th regular album, Mr. Simple ). They are still staying together after debuting for 5 years and even more, they show us their competence of staying in this industry has been enhancing throughout these years.

The 3 reasons of why they can break the jinxThe first reason is ‘the members do really wish to achieve their targets’.There is a common thing shared between Super Junior and Big Bang, after 1 year of their debut, they did not receive much attention from the public. Although both SME and YGE are big entertainment companies, the music brought forth by both of the groups could not win the love of the public in the 1st year of their debut.

However, this brought positive influence to the groups since the members of these groups devoted themselves even more to achieve their dreams. Their committment united the groups too. The different ideas and dreams that the team members own have contributed to the success of the groups. Their determination enables them to last for more than 5 years.

The second reason is the personalities of the members do not overlap with each other. The members of Super Junior are good at performing arts. The creativity of Heechul, the good singing skills shown by K.R.Y when they were delivering the emotional songs and the talent of hosting variety shows shown by Lee Teuk and Shindong in SBS’ Strong Heart’ all show how different they are from each other.

It is also the same case with Big Bang. The leader, G-Dragon is responsible for composing the songs for the team directly. The handsome hyun T.O.P. is talented and has a naughty side. Daesung and Seungri are talented in doing variety shows while no one can cast any doubt on the solo performances of Taeyang.

Although they have different skills and personalities, they are not jealous of each other.

The final reason is that they have very strong friendship with each other. There are no major conflicts among the members of Super Junior and Big Bang. Although at their 20s, they might argue or even fight with each other, they settle the issues quickly.Their friendship became more consolidated after all of these and it is the foundation that they can walk together on this path for more than 5 years.

The breaking of the jinx by Big Bang and Super Junior has become an inspiration for other group currently. We hope that the jinx will disappear totally in the coming future.

Big Bang #4 on “My Favorite K-Pop Artist” Survey in Japan

Mobile site Recochoku recently conducted a survey on the topic of “Who is your favorite K-Pop artist?” and the result revealed that Kara is the K-Pop star who is currently receiving the most popularity in Japan. A total of 4,471 users participated in the survey and the result has been revealed as follow:

1st – Kara
2nd – SNSD
3rd – FT Island
4th – Big Bang
5th – BEAST

With the most votes from users, Kara ranks 1st in the ranking. Voters commented, “Their cute and unique dance makes me happy; I’ll never get tired of watching them.” “Each member has their own personality and different kind of cuteness.” “They speak Japanese really well, because they’ve worked so hard.” It appears that the girls are garnering more popularity through appearing on TV program with their cute and kind personalities.

On the other hand, girls of SNSD ranks 2nd with voters commenting, “Their beautiful legs are every girl’s dream.” “I like their powerful dance with their beautiful legs.” “Beautiful girls! Beautiful legs! Beautiful voices! They are just all too beautiful.” Just like what the comments said, the girls’ signature, their beautiful legs, are winning lots of teenage girls’ hearts in Japan.

The 3rd goes to FT Island who is currently one of the most popular boy groups in Japan. “All members are Ikemen (beautiful looking men) with real talents in music.” “Their vocal talent and band performance are both outstanding.” Among K-Pop groups who have already debuted in Japan, FT Island is one of the very few stresses on their live band performance ability, in addition, because of member Lee Hong Ki’s role in drama “You’re Beautiful”, the group owns a great amount of female fans in Japan.

Big Bang endorses ‘The North Face’

The members of Big Bang have been selected as the latest endorsement models for outdoor clothing brand, “The North Face“!
Taking the baton from former model Ha Jung Woo, Big Bang will be kicking off their modeling with a F/W photoshoot in their very own distinctive styles.
A brand representative revealed, “Big Bang is a group that is a leader in not only music, but style as well. Together, we’ll be sharing the ‘outdoor mindset’ and showing trendy outdoor fashion.”
The boys held their first photoshoot all the way over in New Zealand last month under the concept of “Never Stop Exploring“. Later this month, photos and videos of the boys experiencing the ‘limits of mankind’ will be shown through ‘The North Face’ stores nationwide.

In addition to T.O.P. and Lee Yeon Hee’s ‘Style & Tech’ line, Big Bang will be endorsing the brand’s ‘My First Outdoor’ line with a variety of activities promoting stylish outdoor fashion for camping trips and such.
The marketing team of the brand said, “We felt that Big Bang’s endless thirst for adventure, their passion, and the way they lead in an innovative manner fit well with our brand.  We hope that outdoor fashion and style will be given some spotlight through this opportunity.”

I'm Back! and so is our BIGBANG!!!!

I am currently on the second day of my off lazily browsing for a manga to read online while Big Bang’s new Special Edition Album as my soundtrack  but my eyes got droopy and really tired.  I thought it’s time to shut my laptop down (I had it opened since yesterday so it’s been suffering for about more than 48 hours already) and get some sleep. (I haven’t had any decent sleep either ‘coz I finished watching Dream High) Man! I really don’t like the ending. The story has been twisted. Taec is supposed to be Suzy’s partner don’t you think? Anyway, that’s not the point why I got my mind in writing this. And while going any further, I would just like to say, (if ever anyone cares that is) that the reason I haven’t updated my blog for the past couple of months is because I lost the will to it. I don’t know, I just don’t feel like writing anymore since I don’t really have something to write about. Well here I am. While contemplating on what to do next, I suddenly thought of my blog which I haven’t updated in like -- forever. There are so many things that happened in the world of K-pop already—like “The Boys” had released their album TONIGHT and got excellent reviews and ratings. It even got to the top of every chart in a very short period of time. Can you believe they even got to the #3 spot on the Billboard chart?! Ah..I’m so proud of them.So I really wanna talk about them right now...Haha, seems that at this moment, I got my adrenalin flowing through every vein in my body. Suddenly I felt so inspired..LOL.

 

Honestly, when Tonight was officially released, I didn’t like it much so I’m rather disappointed. And adding the fact that they included some of their previous tracks there, I really condemned YG for it. How could have they include old songs when Big Bang has been in hiatus for two years! They should have selected the best of the best track there is! Those are my thoughts before. But thinking it now, I grew to love Tonight and the other tracks as well and I thought, well, it’s not really that bad at all. Haha. Hey, I can change opinion too! For me, “first impression lasts” doesn’t work.Nah nah.

 

 Now that they released a Special Edition of the album, adding three new tracks, (Love Song, Stupid Liar, Baby Don’t Cry) it’s like my eyes have finally opened to the light. (I guess you can compare it to how Adan and Eve had their eyes opened when they ate the forbidden apple) Eh! Sounds creepy! Anyways, I fell in love w/ those new tracks. Seems that it has a new feeling on the melody. Baby Don’t cry is different from their other songs.. When I first listened to it, I wanted to cry, but of course I didn’t. It doesn’t have a rap as well which is very unusual for Big Bang since they are known for being like that. Almost all of their songs have a rap on it since their leader and composer is a rapper and it feels like kind of off when their song doesn’t have it. But this song? OMG! I can only say that it’s perfect! Stupid Liar and Love Song are very catchy too! I love every bit of it. A combination of electronic rhythm with a unique modern rock feel that is sure to set off another trend in the world of K-pop. 

 

The wait is really worth it. YGE and Big Bang, thank you so much.  You’ve worked so hard to give us the best of the best, and as a VIP myself, I’m very satisfied. No, I’m more than very satisfied. Continue to give us inspiration. And BTW, congratulations in renewing your contract with YGE for another five years. To BIGBANG, more success!

Hello peepz!!! I know, it’s been a long time since my last post and I really regret not updating this page...Haist! I’ve really been very busy; blame it for the anime and Korean drama series marathons... Anyways, here I am again...Of course I don’t want to miss bragging with pride our very own Seungri, who is very successful with the release of his album... Congratulations Baby! You deserve your success more than anyone...!

Admit it! Together with Big Bang, Seungri doesn’t stand out much compared to T.O.P, G-Dragon, and Taeyang, but look what his solo album made him! He became like a very different person to me... Not in the sense that his ‘head became so suddenly big ’ and got overwhelmed by his success, but in the sense that he became so charming and adorable and mature... Oh, I really can’t find the right words to describe it... I just feel that this is just the beginning of his feat...and that he will continue to climb higher and higher until the world recognizes his potential and talent...Is it too deep? OH! I don’t know, I may be wrong, but I would like to believe that I’m correct...

She is a very lucky bitch but didn’t know it. How could he reject someone as cool as Baby S? Well, she doesn’t deserve him anyway so never mind. Baby S is really so cool in this music video, although I can say that at some point, he dances like Baby T—but it’s okay, it’s not like they are the same person anyway...
